My playlist for summer trips 2012

I’m two days away from a three-week vacation! And as I strolled up and down the mall today, getting some last my summer playlistminutes things for my trip, I realized I haven’t uploaded any music on my phone. I’m very pumped about my trip to the east coast (Canada) and Europe and I’m going to need some music to get me through especially the transition in between flights.

Here are the contenders I’m starting my playlist with:

Nigerian

Albums

Singles

Non-Nigerian

Albums

  • Adele – I fell in love with this one before she went mainstream. Love both albums
  • Amel Larrieuxd – My love of loves
  • Amy Winehouse – Everyone should have some talented vocals by Miss Winehouse on their music list
  • Beres Hammond – The real deal
  • Bob Marley – Legend
  • Bruno Mars – I normally listen to him when I go running. He’d be good for the trips too!
  • Emeli Sande – I discovered Emeli this year and she totally blew me away.
  • Feist – Oh Feist, glad I found your music
  • J Holiday – Wish he would have a concert in Edmonton….or Calgary!
  • Kesha – just because she’s hilarious. Her lyrics crack me up
  • Keisha Cole – Love the first album
  • Lauryn Hill – Hmm hmm. They don’t make it like her any more.
  • Hedley – This group is a firecracker.
  • Nina Simone – If she doesn’t make my list…then there is no list
  • Pink – I wholeheartedly adore P!nk and her bold, fierceness
  • Sizzla – if you don’t know this cool, calm, collected character, start Googling!
