Nigeria wins 2013 Cup of Nations

Hello world, we’rreeee baacckkk!!!

The Nigerian spirit is as solid as gold as Super Eagles reclaimed the Africa Cup of Nations—19-years later—leaving Burkina Faso in the dust.

Sunday Mba scored the only goal of the match in the 40th minute.

Whether or not you understand or even like football, the post victory joy is contagious. Fulani, Benin, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo—it doesn’t matter who you are, today is a day that Nigerians in the diaspora come together for a virtual group hug and a BIG high-five to our Super Eagles.

It’s a Nigerian come-back story that’s got the nation in a winning frenzy! ike uche prays for help

President Jonathan commented on his Facebook wall that he is “overjoyed at the stunning victory of the Super Eagles which has seen Nigeria emerge as the champions of the African Cup of Nations, 2013.Well done Patriots, you have done Nigeria proud”.

This is the third time Nigeria’s won the tournament since 1980 and 1994, but a first time for Burkina Faso.

AWESOME JOB Super Eagles, way to bring it home!

…next stop, the Olympics then the World Cup!!!
