Discovering the little gems in Edmonton #10 – Rapid Fire Theatre

things to do in Edmonton

I’m making room in my schedule to enjoy at least one new thing in Edmonton every month, something different I’ve never done before. My attempt to try at least ONE new thing each month—how ever big or small—landed me at a musical theatre show last month and in the largest, most fun wine store in Edmonton. Those two things covered January and February.

For March, I tried something new that’s been on my to do list for so long that I’m relieved to have accomplished it…improv comedy.  I’ve been dying to check out Rapid Fire Theatre and it definitely didn’t disappoint. It was the perfect date night event and I laughed so much my abs and jaws hurt for days after.

My husband and I got tickets for the 7:30 p.m. Theatre Sport show they put on every Friday at the Citadel downtown. It costs only $12 each and you get to have good laughs for an hour and a half. If you’re into it, you can munch on popcorn and other light snacks and beer while you laugh out loud rolling on the floor through the different acts. The cast was amazing, pulling the audiences in just at the right time.

I had a lot of fun at the show and I’ll definitely be seeing another one of their shows.

Happy exploring!
