Bye bye FIFA World Cup 2014

Back to good ol dull Canadian TV now that the World Cup’s wrapped up. It’s been such a journey, from the qualifying games to tracking Brasil’s progress on its stadiums to watching the first round of games to falling apart when none of the African teams made it very far to Netherland disgracing Spain in a 5-1 game and Germany beating the day lights out of Brasil 7-1.

Today, I watched the final game—Germany vs Argentina—at a local pub with some friends and it was a lot of fun. The game was a bit dull but the crowd made it awesome. Messi and his team held their ground, but couldn’t deliver a single goal. Germany took the cup 1-0.

This World Cup was more fun than previous ones I’ve followed. I’m definitely going to miss the action, ear biting and all.
